Ambassadors Fellowship South Asia Global Prayer Network
The Ambassadors Fellowship South Asia Global Prayer Network (AFSAGPN) is a group pf obedient disciples who understand and promote the power of prayer. Acts 2:42 shows us that true disciples are intercessors and there is no separation of the two. The purpose of this network is about worship. It is not about denomination but unity and obedience to the commands of Jesus. Our vision is to cover all South Asia, beginning with our local region, enabling the word of God to go forward. AFSAGPN is an integral part of the AFSA movement to make 100,000 disciple makers by 2022 or until Christ returns – Whichever comes first.
At the core of our purpose is:
- Keeping the praying community informed through Newsletters and Urgent Prayer Bulletins
- Sharing information and teaching via a system of regional summits
- Obtaining contextual and relevant community information through connections in the nations
- Creating a platform for prayer watches, prayer hubs, houses of prayer etc. to connect via a Global Hub
The prayer network is open to all AFSA and AFI disciple-makers with committed prayer and fasting lifestyles.
THE MONTHLY PRAYER ENGAGEMENT (4TH SATURDAY OF EVERY MONTH)
Preambles: as we pray online, it is essential to understand Holy Spirit, who prays for us and with us (Rom. 8:26), is present with us – just as when we pray in the presence of each other. Since it is a group conference call it is crucial to follow some protocols so that our time together will be effective.
PRAYER LEADER
The prayer leader is the person appointed to lead a particular segment of the prayer time. He or she will be responsible for providing the whole team with the scriptures, brief exhortation and points of prayer within the time slot allocated to them. It will be helpful for the prayer leader to provide the predetermined scriptures and issues to be prayed about ahead of time to enable everyone else who is going to be on the line to mediate on them before hand and be very conversant with the sessions. Apart from creating a steady flow, it helps also to save time and eliminate losing anyone during the call.
PRAYER TIME
As earlier stated, different people will be asked to lead different segments of the prayer. The sections range from praying for us (one person praying on behalf of us all) to leading us in prayer where he or she gives us a prayer point and time allocation ( such as two mins, five mins..).We will then precede to pray in unison (as in Acts 4:24 when they all raised their voices together and prayed). Someone may also be asked to sing for us or lead us in a song or two. The same principle applies.
PRAY BEFORE AND AFTER THE MAIN PRAYER TIME
It is important to note that our prayer time together is not sufficient for us to exhaust all the prayer points the Holy Spirit prompts in our hearts. It becomes crucial to continue praying after the initial prayer time as typically more clarity, insights and leadings to pray will come to us after spending time with Our Father in prayer.
“And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.” Luke 1:10 KJV
As can be seen in the above scripture, the people were already praying without’, meaning that they began to praise and worship outside the temple before entering the temple. One of the benefits of having the prayer items beforehand is to enable everyone to engage in praying through the points in advance.
PRAYER DIARY OR NOTES
Everyone should have a prayer book or diary where he or she can write the impressions received from Holy Spirit in his or her heart during prayer times. These leadings could come in the form of further scriptures to take note of, assurances of answers received in time prayer or prophetic direction concerning the vision of AFSA or nations of South Asia.
CONFIDENTIALITY
Since most of the prayers we share may involve sensitive items about the operations of AFSA or its leaders, it is critical not to share or disclose them to people who are not in the closed prayer group. Daniel was asked to seal and keep in his heart the prophecy he received in times of prayer until and appointed time (Daniel 12:4). Prayer people are not flippant talkers. We must walk in wisdom.
AFSA PRAYER COVERING:
